Artifact Identification
The Museum of Vision offers identification services for instruments, artifacts and other material related to ophthalmic history. Services include dating of artifacts, identification of designer or manufacturer, use of instrument and material composition. Museum staff will require photos in order to make a determination about an objects identity and may request other detailed information. Please contact the museum directly with your request.
Please be aware that museum staff is unable to offer appraisals or guess at a monetary value for any item. If you are interested in having an appraisal, please contact either the American Society of Appraisers or the Appraisers Association of America.
